All information is treated as strictly confidential. The following privacy policy tells you how information pertaining to you personally is used so that you can make an informed decision about using this site to apply for our programs.

Information Collected

By applying for one or more of our scholarship programs on-line, you will be providing us with your name, address, contact information (phone number and e-mail address), identification details (Social Insurance Number, Student Number, Personal Education Number), employment and volunteer history, academic records, academic history and enrollment details. If applying for the BC Aboriginal Student Award, you will also be providing us with details on your Aboriginal Ancestry.

This information will be used to determine scholarship eligibility, correspond with you regarding your application, verify application details with your post-secondary institution (confirmation of final GPA and enrollment), and when necessary verify application details with referees. This information will also be used in order to provide you with a T4A for tax purposes, should you be successful in your application.

Access to Information

Information submitted to our on-line application system is only accessible by our system administrator.

Disclosure

We reserve the right to disclose your personal information only if we are required to do so by law or if we believe that disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with legal process, respond to claims, or protect the rights, property or safety of our Society, its board, contractors, or the public.
