Ten to twenty awards worth between $5,000 and $10,000 will be available in 2011 from the Premier’s One World Scholarship program for a B.C. public post-secondary student wishing to pursue post-secondary education outside of Canada or the United States. The scholarship are awarded on the basis of merit.
Applicants must be enrolled in an academic program leading to a credential that requires at least two years of full time study for completion and be able to demonstrate a high level of academic achievement in their post-secondary studies to date, such as having at least a B+ or equivalent academic standing, as well as considerable involvement in their institution and/or community. The duration of the study abroad program must be one semester or two consecutive semesters.
