Supporting the Financial Needs of Students
The Irving K. Barber British Columbia Scholarship Society, in partnership with the Victoria Foundation, provides scholarships to students attending public post-secondary institutions both throughout the province of B.C. and internationally.
To date, the Society has awarded over $1.2 million in scholarships.
We provide scholarships for:
- Students transferring from a public college, university college or institute in B.C. to another public post-secondary institution in B.C. to complete their degree,
- Students who are participating in study/work abroad activities outside of North America,
- Students from selected countries wanting to study in B.C.,
- Aboriginal students, and
- Students taking cultural or language learning studies programs abroad.
